Connect Google Calendar

Let the assistant check your free times and book appointments straight into your calendar.

Who can do it and what you need

Only an owner or admin of your business can connect integrations.

You need a Google account with write access to the calendar where you want appointments (your own or a shared team calendar).

Steps

What permissions are granted and why

  • See the list of your calendars: so you can choose where to book.
  • See whether you are free or busy: to offer only available times, without reading your event details.
  • Create and change events: to book and cancel the appointments customers ask for. ISSA only touches the events it creates.
  • Your email and identity: to show which account is connected.

What ISSA sends to Google

Each appointment creates an event titled "customer name (ISSA)".

The description holds the customer name, their full WhatsApp phone number and the notes they gave.

How to remove access

In ISSA: in Settings, Integrations, choose Disconnect on the Google Calendar card and confirm. The assistant goes back to taking appointment requests that your team confirms; events already created stay in your calendar.

To make sure from Google, open https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose ISSA and remove access.

If something does not work

  • It says Available soon: the integration is still being set up on our side. Check back later.
  • You see a failed connection or an expired link (invalid_state): start again from the same browser, signed in to ISSA.
  • Google shows an "unverified app" warning (while verification is in progress): choose Advanced, then continue to ISSA.
  • The status says Needs attention: choose Reconnect.
  • Appointments do not show up: check Working hours, that the right Calendar for appointments is selected and the Time zone.
